Cardiff University Conference Centre
Tuesday 4th - Wednesday 5th April 2006
This workshop was intended for all bioinformaticists based in Wales, including biomedical researchers, computer scientists, statisticians and mathematicians with current or probable future interest in bioinformatics.
The workshop took place at Cardiff University Conference Centre, a purpose designed all-year conference venue in the grounds of University Hall, three miles from the city centre and five minutes from the M4. See the travel page for more details.

We were able to offer this workshop free of charge and this included attendance at the scientific sessions, lunches and the evening social function at the Wales Millennium Centre. Primarily it was intended for Wales-based researchers but there were a limited number of places for non-Wales individuals.
The BBU (Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Unit) was delighted to host and sponsor this workshop. We are extremely grateful to the Wales Gene Park for co-sponsoring the meeting and for support from the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research (IGER) who hosted last year's Workshop.
Previous workshop (AWBW2005)
The previous and first All-Wales Bioinformatics Workshop in 2005 was held on 10th and 11th March at the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research (IGER) near Aberystwyth.
The 2nd All-Wales Bioinformatics workshop was immediately followed by the The European Mathematical Genetics Meeting (EMGM) 2006 which was held on April 6-7 in Cardiff.
